Why we built Remendi
Restoration contractors do some of the most technically demanding work in the construction industry — responding to water losses at 2 a.m., remediating mold behind walls, rebuilding homes after fire. They know exactly what the job costs. Then the adjuster's estimate arrives and the negotiation begins, often from a position of information asymmetry.
The founders of Remendi saw this firsthand. Adjusters work from detailed line-item estimates in Xactimate. Contractors either trusted those numbers or spent hours manually comparing them against their own scope — a process that was slow, error-prone, and rarely complete. Supplements got missed. Legitimate costs went unpaid. Homeowners were caught in the middle, waiting for answers nobody had time to give them.
Remendi closes that gap. Import the adjuster's ESX estimate, compare it line by line against your scope, and generate a carrier-ready rebuttal built on your documentation. Keep homeowners updated automatically so they are never left wondering where their claim stands. Settle faster. Recover what every job is actually worth.
What we care about
Built for the field
Designed around how restoration crews actually work — fast job entry, mobile-ready documentation, and workflows that match the pace of an active loss.
Recover what's owed
Every line item you are owed should be paid. Remendi surfaces the gaps between your scope and the adjuster's estimate so nothing legitimate gets left behind.
Homeowners in the loop
Automatic homeowner updates reduce inbound calls and build trust. When homeowners understand where their claim stands, everyone has a better experience.
Your data stays yours
Your scope notes, moisture logs, and job photos belong to your business. We never share or sell your data, and you can export everything at any time.
How we got here
- 2024 Q1 January 2024
Founded
Two restoration industry veterans and a software engineer founded Remendi after watching contractors routinely leave tens of thousands of dollars per job on the table in insurance negotiations. The idea was simple: give the contractor the same line-by-line visibility the adjuster already has.
- 2024 Q3 August 2024
First contractor customers
Launched a closed beta with eight water and fire restoration companies across the Southeast. Early testers validated the core scope-verification and rebuttal workflow and helped shape the homeowner communication portal.
- 2025 Q2 April 2025
ESX comparison engine
Released native Xactimate ESX import and automated line-by-line comparison. Contractors could now load an adjuster's estimate directly into Remendi and generate a carrier-ready rebuttal in under an hour — without manual re-entry.
- 2026 June 2026
Growing with the industry
Remendi now serves restoration and mitigation contractors across water, fire, storm, mold, and large-loss divisions. We are continuing to build toward a single platform where scope, negotiation, documentation, and homeowner communication all live together.
Where we're headed
The insurance claims process for restoration has too many moving parts, too many handoffs, and too many places where a contractor's legitimate work goes uncompensated. Our long-term mission is a single platform where scope verification, estimate negotiation, job documentation, and homeowner communication work together seamlessly — so restoration contractors can focus on the work, not the paperwork.
